Finished cleaning egr valve and passages all the way to exhaust manifold . Every port was clogged but not that hard to clean out. I used an old lawn mower throttle cable (cut down) to clean to exhaust manifold. The old girl is back in form again, runs like a champ. I did a short 16 mile loop when I got done and got 132 mpg on the down hill section and 68 mpg on the uphill section. Oh wait, that's 100 mpg avg, wish that was a tank.

Today I did a 251 mile loop through the hill country and used 3.26 gallons for 77 mpg. Ran into a traffic jam on route 281 (wreck) so I know I could get better. Not bad for a quarter million mile vehicle. So about a 10-12 mpg gain. That 251 mile loop was actually 2 loops 1 - 122.5 mile loop (no coasting, just DEFCO) and 1 - 128.5 mile loop (back tracking from wreck) with P&G.
