1979 Dasher diesel. Technically the Audi 80, rebadged for VW as the B1 Passat, re-rebadged for the US market as the Dasher. 0-60 in 19 seconds (
vs 13 seconds for the gas version
)
It has a longitudinal slant four with the radiator on the uphill side and an alternator/generator underneath. It works for me because I want to add a 20hp bolt-on to the crankshaft to supplement the stock 49hp.
I don't know which one I will be able to take to the Bug Run on June the 3rd.
