Something wrong with me then. I've lived in snow country for 61 (out of 65) years, and have never owned a 4WD. Or even used 4WD in snow.
And the local rural mailman drives a new Prius. His old Prius has 285,000 miles and is still good. His route is 99 miles with 300 boxes.
