Have you considered to fit any sort of temperature trim valve to blend the warmer and the hotter air flows on-demand? Certain dedicated-ethanol trucks in my country had it, while in the cars it was usually thermostatically-actuated. Then you could avoid it to eventually overheat while still being able to decrease warm-up times.
