I ran the RE92s on Ron Burgundy at 60 PSI the whole time I owned it and never had an issue.
I also ran the Michelin Energy Savers on my first Insight Turtle at 60 PSI the whole time I owned it and didn't have any problems with that one either

I'd say it has more to do with the tire age rather than the PSI. Old tires are prone to de-laminating, and they don't last long at all after you feel the first bumpiness
