Having a car for every purpose would not be so bad at all, but I still would prefer a single vehicle that could perform most of the duties. No wonder I have been more interested in vans recently.

And the SWB versions of some traditional 4WD's are actually not so oversized to a point that would turn them unpractical as a daily-driver.


IIRC the J40-series Landcruiser and its local equivalent Bandeirante are narrower than a current-model Corolla, and the SWB is shorter than the Yaris and the Etios.
