The most stable "at speed" car I've ever been in or have driven is my 1977 Porsche 911 (
rear engine).
The laws of physics are completely against this car, yet it is the best at everything.
This proves that if one puts +70 years into mastering a single engineering concept, anything can be done.
EDIT: My wife had two Geo Metro's, they both suffered from what I call "suck under". Perhaps with the majority of large trucks operating with side-skirts this would no longer be the issue it was back in the day.
