FE is found in those miles. Given that one has devised best routing for commutes, then another for errands, this topic is a non-starter as miles beyond that aren't significant.
MANY road conditions will change from one town to another, another county or state. Keep separation distance and observe traffic flow. It's usually indicative of what the locals think works. From that, glide along accordingly.
The 22-mpg I do in errand running is put to shame by the 47-mpg Diesel Dave got with his similar one ton. I don't care about hypermiling. He maximized it. It only really works on familiar routes. (The average owner does 12).
