A few points mentioned above - I've oil flushed a Renault Megane 1.5dci (eco beast!) and it really knackered the engine before, I am sure it was the flush that did it - never seemed right after, all to the 'Wynn's Diesel Enginer Oil Flush' instructions too.

My first car was a Fiat Cinquecento - such a funny first car. I cleaned the TB on that and it made some performance improvement, but I was having issues with hesitation when pulling away and it was just a common issue with it getting gummed up. Many moons ago now though.
