Star sounds like wye in the US.
The US over head service uses 4160 3 phase line to line, then each house the transformer is tapped line to neutral for 2080ish volts. Then those transformers supply two lines of center tapped neural power. Line to line is 240v either line to neutral is 120v. All 60hz.
I'm moving into a house with a deep high volume well. That well uses a 3 phase motor. I don't want to pay to have that 3 phase hooked back up. If the motor is still good I am going to run it off variable frequency.
