Of course, but my points are 1) That the "infrastucture" attached to the car might well cost more (and be less reliable) than the sort of infrastructure you describe; and 2) That you really don't WANT your factory hauling vehicles to be able to leave the plant, otherwise they could well leave with (ex) emplyees, and not come back.
