Hey folks,

I picked up a Scion XB which the internet forums tell me can pull 40-50mpg depending on speed etc.

I would like to pick up a manual Geo Metro to do the heavy lifting.

I have spent a small amount of time reading various forums and finding that some have difficulty finding the parts needed to repair the manual transmission.

I like the idea of maintaining and repairing a vehicle for 30 years but I can imagine the auto industry can't be too keen on the idea. I am finding rebuild parts on ebay and autozone but I don't know anything about transmission rebuilds so I thought I would ask here.
