At one time I had close to 40 project motorcycles and then had several cullings that got me down into the low teens.

If you've got the space to store stuff it is very easy to find things to fill it. If you are into vintage vehicles it is easy to justify having several parts vehicles for each project since the spares are no longer being made.

So far this year I've sold/given away 10 or so bikes leaving 3 to go to get to a point where I can give up my remote storage (I was at 500 sq feet at the start of the year, now down to 200) and have just a couple of bikes and all related material here at home.

It is hard to give up stuff that has been around for several decades, but admitting that they are unlikely to be going in this lifetime and finding a new home for them can be satisfying. It is also nice to be saving thousands of dollars a year in storage fees as well as turning the (now unwanted) stuff into money.

If I were to do it over again I'd be MUCH more discriminating in what I bought!
