Energy sources are site specific. I live on the NY PA state line, 42N 72W. Within 100 miles we have natural gas production, and wind turbines. There is a major hydro site and a nuclear power plant within 200 miles. Timber harvesting produces wood pellets for home heating. Fracking is done in PA but not NY because of political posturing.
