Back to topic: look at these pictures from Wikipedia, one showing the first-ever Ford to be named Escort in the '50s (a small station-wagon based in the Anglia) and a first-generation Ford Ka released in '96. Which one looks bigger and which one is actually bigger?
It was quite shocking for me to figure out the Ka is bigger than that early Escort.
