The FMVSS are not "stupid" just frustrating if you don't know how to get through the process. For a small start up company crash test costs and liability insurance premiums can be a major hurdle. Fabricating a beam axle to go with the Edison2 suspension would be easy enough. A kit car could work. Does anyone have some pics of the in wheel suspension?
