I just made a post about roof rack versus trailer a few weeks ago.
You would have to use the trailer a lot or go on cross country drives to make it worth the cost.
I have a trailer because I'm moving something just about every single day I'm off.
For example I canceled the rural trash service, at $35 a month it was a rip off. Unless there is some major cleaning or demo going on we only make about 1 bag of trash per week. I go to the dump where it's free to dump trash.
We don't throw away paper or cardboard it gets burned and all the food scraps or food that goes bad gets eaten by our dogs and cats. If it's something real green and bland it goes on the compost pile.
