Do you have any measurements to support this (or have you seen any)?

I've seen the pressure drop measurements of a few intake systems now and while the entire system can vary from 4" H2O to 35", I haven't seen a filter represent more than 3". For reference 27.5" H2O = 1psi, an airflow meter typically represents around 10", and the maximum ram-air pressure you're likely to see is around 3" at 100km/h.

It's fairly easy and cheap to measure this kind of stuff. $10-80, depending on if you buy a guage or make one. I'm more than happy to point you at some articles explaining how and what to look for in an intake system.
