Also, the Japanese wanted to make their products look as non-European as possible. The selected solution was to counter the Greek ideals of visual balance and harmony with the Ninja warrior armour tactic of violating aesthetic harmony with disjoint and anti-integrated lines, which was meant to distract an opponent.
