In my usual daily commute saw a heavily camouflaged compact crossover in front. Did the usual; drove up for closeup views, take pics, even opened my side window to hear the engine. Eerily very quiet, did not have telltale exhaust pipes and noticed a covered grill.
Did the cursory Google inquiry on new crossovers; the suspect could be the 2019 Kona EV. It would be the second all-electric for Hyundai, alongside the Ioniq, to be sold in the US. They can charge 100 kW with CCS hardware and claim it will achieve an US EPA range of 240 miles. The Hyundai strategy is to provide the lower-priced, all-electric crossover to start at $21,000, BEFORE factoring in the $7500 federal EV tax credit and other incentives!
