While warming up, sensors will sometimes have intermittent failure as the materials are expanding/contracting. When temp sensors fail the electronics will usually read max or min temperature, which could cause a fast change in timing/injector pulse width/etc and cause a stall.

The whole situation of only happening shortly after a cold start made me consider that.
