It reminds me of those wood gasifiers and the Fischer-Tropsch process that was used in Nazi-built refineries that operated with wood chips as a feedstock in Poland. But anyway, considering that so many plastic waste is disposed in rivers and end up in the oceans, that might be an effective way to minimize this problem.
