I forgot it was the following generation that was meant to have some shipments from Brazil to the U.S. when the exchange rate became unfavorable to the exports from Japan. The local branch of Honda even gave the lame excuse that it couldn't make the CVT work properly with the flexfuel engines used here, and switched to a conventional automatic in order to follow the U.S.-spec and make it easier to adjust production demand.
