I'v worked up ma chart showing the relative RPM of the engine in each of th 10 gears. The five main gears (1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, and 5L) are shown in Red numbers, and the ratios for each in High range (1H, 2H, 3H, 4H, and 5H) are shown in Blue numbers. I have boxed from 8,000 RPM (max torque,) to 9,000 (Max HP), as well as from there up to 9,500 (Redline) The two speed sub transmission reduces RPM by 17% when in High range, thus some ratios are very close, and others (5L and 4H) are virtually identical. The main advantage of using Low and High ranges are in the lower gears, to fill the gaps between 1L and 2L, and for that extra higher top gear (5H), but with the paddle shifters, all gears can be used with little lost time. (The chart is so long I couldn't get it on here in one piece, but it is there in the following post)
