Scale what? The problem? The solution?
Scalability is a geodesic sphere's bestest feature. They get stronger the bigger they are. It's a big ocean.
The problems addressed are predator control and not fouling the seafloor in a fixed location. I saw a proposal [citation needed] for releasing them on one side of the Pacific and letting them float free, and then retrieving them and harvesting the contents months later on the other side.
