Rotation is still a thing with a taildragger, but the whole goal of rotation is to transition from a negative or neutral angle of attack to one that creates lift. You want no lift for best acceleration.
I can plant the stick in my lap with many taildraggers and the tailwheel stays planted, as the mains come off the ground. It is an inefficient method, but it works.
Same with a trike, doing a soft field takeoff. You yard the nose wheel out of the muck at a very slow speed, and wait for the airspeed to build to take off. Once again, not the fastest way to airborne.
