The template has no separated-induced low pressure over its aft-body.There is accelerated flow over the body,but high pressure at the nose and tail cancel any overall lift potential.
If it was going sideways it WOULD produce lift,but this is not an issue at normal posted speed limits,and Hucho says forget about it.
If the zero-lift body inclination is maintained,at zero-yaw,the template cannot generate lift.
