My solar panels are inside the car. When I park it at work or at home I open the hatchback and let the panels get direct sunlight. The two panels charge it in an hour or two from the 6 mile drive. My plan is to make a kammback using the larger 18W panel. I honestly think the 18W panel is enough because the 13W panel could in most days charge it full well before the end of my shift.
