Something I've never investigated,was a calculator offered by HOT ROD Magazine in the 1950s,60s.
They were able to tell you your distance to top speed,which I've never seen before.Since the trucks load varies the entire length of the run,the calculation has to deal with all the transient dynamics,combining the calculus of the R-R coincidentally with the aero,matched with power available in each gear as you swim through the gears.
It's a very complex relationship.
Every time I go to the PATE Swap Meet I ask about this computer and the guys just roll their eyes back in their heads.
