My car didn't coast well when I bought it too, but that was before doing aero mods and pumping up my tires. My tires were at like 32 PSI or something when I bought it. Aero mods + 41 PSI all around make it coast much better. Try pumping up your tires and see how much of a coasting improvement you see.
