Don't cheap out transporting fuel. The install above is a range extender, it almost doubles the capacity 11 —> 21 gallons. With the NATO-style can with the locking pin in the latch you can throw them off a tank and they still work.
If you put those on a hitch mount, they'd squirt like a pumpkin seed before they crush in a rear-ender.
