Has anyone concepted or built a hybrid with the intent of the electric motors providing additional torque to an otherwise gas powered vehicle?

I’m genuinely looking to do this, but I’m not sure the best approach. Of course the simpler the starting point the better (probably don’t want to start with my Audi s4 since it’s all wheel drive with dynamic sport differential)

Any ideas or resources? I couldn’t find anything obvious by searching...
