"Framing" a hybrid.
Hoople's pickup from a prius subframe got me to thinking about unibody vehicles for project donors.
I worry about re-engineering a drive train and getting all the alignments right.
Has anyone thought about using the subframe of the donor car as a "jig" for welding in frame rails? Then cut away the original pan to suit your build.
You would wind up with the original wheel base, and suspension geometry this way.
