Hydrogen is not pretty safe.
Hydrogen has a crazy wide explosive air fuel mix range, it usually just explodes throughout most of its entire combustible range and can be ignited by the tiniest of sparks.
LPG has a pretty narrow range of combustion, it's very difficult to get it to explode, the mixture and conditions have to be just about perfect for it to explode and it takes a lot more spark energy to ignite it.
