One, there’s a posted upper & lower limit. Two, state laws require one to get off the roadway and let faster traffic get by (when safe to do so). Three, vehicles are equipped with mirrors for a reason.

Up your driving ability by cultivating new skills. It isn’t hard, and it can be done in a FE conscious way. Been at it 45-years this year.

That said, there are those who’s IQ is too low to even be on the roads, much less above 45-mph. Those who cannot make deductions based on mirror images. Yes, they screw it up for everyone.

Travel is always time versus distance. And conditions encountered. Insisting on the stunt of very highest mpg in all circumstances is also the stupidity one encounters.

How often do I find these morons tail-gating me, or cutting back in front far too close after passing. The belief that Interstate left lane has any ROW is the attendant stupidity. It’s for passing only. Not overtaking.

Work with others for the safe pass.
