Good idea. Ive thought about doing this, but not with rubber buttons. Just with buttons from other things with tact switches, setting the clearances and just having them lay in there. The rubber buttons seems much easier to do though.

Id probably just use my rubbing compound or something like that to take the graphics right off. Who cares what they read. Then Id have enough for a bunch of guinos. But for a dollar, its not a big deal either way.

Another plus to button covers is added circuit protection. Otherwise sweat from fingers might leak down into the tactile switches or circuit board and eventually short something out.
