Any reduction in availability of world primary energy right now would bring a big reduction in standard of living and lifespan.
The only Epstein I'd heard was from Dave Rubin's interview. It seemed mostly reasonable, and I'm partial to humanist arguments.

I just discovered his Human Flourishing podcast and listened to a couple episodes today. He's got a good thought process, but the way he delivers the message is a little dull.
