Well those are all good reasons why I shouldn't take it off. If I ever get another parts car I'll take off the rain gutter on it and see how well water stays out and if it holds the roof together.

I'm sure the effects on mpg are minimal but I think I would still do it (after testing on a parts car) because it would look nicer. A 0.05 boost in mpg from that would be a bonus.
