I still have to run the electric resistance heater on defrost to keep the windshield free of fog. Our humid / rainy winters in Portland mandate the use of the heater instead of just using the heated seats and a jacket. In the winter defrosting the windshield consumes about 1/3 of my battery pack during my 50 mile / 90 minute commute (roundtrip)

I wish GM had installed a heat pump instead of the 5 kW resistance heater.
