So, my bike has been down a little over a week with a flat tire (hole in tube) and I thought I’d fix it and do a mod at same time... while the tire and tube were off the wheel I used some 4”wide masking tape and basically taped in a wheel disc, making sure to tape the backside to the spokes so it wouldn’t flap around and it looked nice, I wish I had taken some pictures... anyway I patched the tube and stick it back in the tire, aired it up to normal riding pressure and went to bed...

About 15 min later I heard a huge bang and when I checked the garage, the tube had blown out(at 80psi) and the tire was off the wheel, and my paper tape disc was damaged... such a pity, I wanted to try it...
