What happens if one of those components breaks? Munro compared it to cellphone technology. Cellphone and most electronics today are not designed to be serviced. They are designed to be discarded and replaced if anything breaks.
Or like Chrysler's Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). That's one thing I hated about my Ram--all the lighting functions, displays, switches, etc. run through the damn TIPM, so if one of those functions fails, guess what has to be replaced? And guess what's a lot more expensive than, say, a simple flasher relay?
