To take away car's polution from big cities will be incredible.
With on-wheel motors and very high density batteries, cars could have a new design, with lot more intern space, confortable. Plus self driving comming (if prices drops a lot). Confortable, ecologic, safe transport.
Is you electric car a DIY project, adding batteries and a electric motor to a conventional car ?

One of the biggest being the US where a lot of people are opposed to electric for some reason.
As of 2017 only 0.15% of registered passenger cars on the road in the US is pure electric.
I'm one of them. Soon maybe 2 of them.
Do you really think these batteries could cram something like 75 kwh into the pack size of a 2011 to 2018 leaf?

Yes, a polite adjetive would be more approproated. Suggestions ?
Remamber about the japanese water car ("moved" by water) ?
Indeed it was hydrogen, moved by hidrogen, and boron would react with water and release hydrogen, creating boron oxide. To reclycle the boron oxide you need a lot, really a lot of electricity. But people believed it was really moved by water, and since it never got in news agains people imagine oil company sabotaged that water car.
I'm curious about the energy density of boron (in terms of hydrogen releases) per kg.
Before the boron "water" cars there was people who built water cars in home, just to get in to the news as a inventor or as wise. They just did a car with batteries to make electrolysis of water, using a lot of batteries, and the hydrogen released would move the car. But it was much less efficient than use the direct energy of the batteries to move a electric motor. So it was just home made to get in to the news.
Even so many fools thinks it was a miracle car that government or oil companies sabotaged.

Capture it the best you can and it can be analyzed at leisure later. But words matter, I wouldn't use 'conspiracy' and 'theory' near each other. )
You can frame it differently, drop names like Preston Tucker and Stan Myers.
