"All or Nothing" fallacy cannot die soon enough for me, the world is not black and white, never has been.
Heck we had sailing ships at the same time as coal burning ships, coexisting technologies in transition is the norm not the exception.
The future isn't going to be all coal, natural gas, nuclear, renewable energy, it will and is
"All of the Above".
