Honda would not really need investors.
Instead, they'd like to get rid of ties like they had for producing NiMH batteries for their hybrids, which was a Panasonic split-off joint venture with Toyota - but Toyota was getting the most and the best batteries out of it.
Renamed to Primearth, it is Toyota's party piece now, and going strong.
