Haha, yes the potential rolling resistance is also quite high.
I like the Syd Mead influences of the illustration and the general racy attitude.
I assume that it is not meant to be taken seriously or as technically accurate, it is meant to be an inspiration, to invoke an emotional response without too much thinking (
I'm guessing).
I'm also sensing a bit of
Gerry Anderson (
Thunderbirds) influence.
A clear plexiglass teardrop bubble aft-cab would have been an over the top effect, but would have transformed it for the Ecomodder crowd.
EDIT:
Here are some oddities, they are not aerodynamic themselves, but when deployed are very unaerodynamic.
