Renewable energy pricing

As of 1991,the Luz Corporation's solar-heliostat-thermal power generating facility in California's Mojave Desert,was competitive with average residential consumer electric pricing,at 8-cents/kWh.
The national residential consumer price at the time was 8.3-cents/kWh,with a range of 4.2-cents,to 14-cents.

The same year,Photovoltaics were at 41.5-cents/kWh

The same year,Wind power was at 9-cents/kWh
By 1995 wind was projected to be around 5-cents/kWh
By 2011,even less.

As of 1990,coal-fired production costs were at 5.62-cents/kWh
