Sea level rose about 1 meter in the last 2000 years, 30% of it in the last fifty years or so.
Put 50 meter on top of it then half the world population gets dislocated, and one third of farmland destroyed, all ports flooded, etc.
Hope that won't happen.
The people on your land would have nowhere else to go. They aren't illegal immigrants either. They could be New Yorkers. One may have orange hair.
