I don't think there is good evidence that biofuels will be price competitive; not in a decade timeframe anyhow. Currently biofuels are heavily dependant on petrol for cultivating it, and fertilizers and pesticides.

I'd like to see petrol consumption decrease, but it doesn't seem likely to me considering an increasingly wealthy planet.
