I've decided that I will never buy another car new for that reason. And TBH about my own purchase, I didn't get the i3 because it was the 'best' deal, BUT, happiness of the driver counts. (Even if that is vicarious via the conduit of marriage. )

Buying a new car never makes sense due to depreciation. (EV or ICE) I also decided not to buy new cars because it just cost so much less to buy a low mileage vehicle coming off a 3 year lease.
I've started to think about what I will buy to replace the Spark and the Cadillac ATS / CTS have made the short list. I'm seeing cars with 20-30K miles selling for 50% of MSRP.
