I have done a little looking into this, while in my opinion I wouldn't coast at A/T with the engine off, you can see what vehicles are able to be towed behind an RV. If approved by the manufacturer, they are towed with engine running in neutral, so I think it'd be safe to say you could coast in neutral with engine running. Maybe leave the engine off neutral coasting to the M/T guys.
